THE AFRICAN DREAM: NOTES ON THE NELSON MANDELA 16th ANNUAL LECTURE BY BARACK H. OBAMA

For eight  long years he sat on the saddle as the most powerful man on earth with an African origin and blood running in his veins!

There was great celebration and hope ignited all over Africa and among the African-Americans and the people of the near and distant islands of the sea when he ascended to the lofty office and seat!

Let it be known that this writer was among those in the forefront to defend and fight for his Presidency in the first few years and especially when he sought his second term against Republican Mitt Romney.

It seemed at last there was a biblical Joseph and Daniel with all powers and authority at THE WHITE HOUSE  to positively and permanently enhance the status of Africa and the people of Africa who for centuries upon centuries were at the mercy of imperialistic plundering and dehumanization which is  the product of the institutionalized policy of the western powers. Sadly, it was not so.

For eight long years the people of the land of his nativity looked for clear policy of inclusion into the global economic mainstream and enhancing of the African life and dream if there  ever was one before his eyes.

With Barack H. Obama came and went  a golden opportunity that was not in any way of any benefit or profit to the very constituency of his origin which is Africa and Africans in the diaspora! What a glorious dawn it could have been had the golden opportunity been made even slightly  beneficial to Africa! If we ever need anyone to awaken Africans, surely it is not Barack H. Obama! If we ever need anyone to bolster African unity and passion and to spread out the African dream, surely it is not Barack H. Obama!

What was the gain of Africa for those eight long years he was the President of the United States of America? How did he care when the EBOLA virus ravaged countless lives months upon months from one country to another on the continent of Africa? Where was the heart of Barack H. Obama during those periods of Africa's pain?  What did Libya gain if not ruins? The same Obama who endorsed and helped install an octogenarian Tyrant and Jihadist in Nigeria is the same one preaching young leadership take-over in Africa! What a paradox! What hypocrisy!

Was there any time he identified in any way with Africa in all of its woes? This man called Barack H. Obama does not feel he had any thing in common with Africa as he had a hand in entrenching  regimes of tyranny as was the case in Nigeria!

Under his watch, he showed more interest in the Middle East and elsewhere than Africa!

Under his watch, the lives of the African-Americans became more at risk than at any time  with race tensions running ever so high! Barack H. Obama was more of a curse than a blessing to the people who sacrificed all to project him to the peaks he ascended to.

After eight long years with Africa having nothing to show for it and himself having no legacy to speak for him globally, he now turns to Africa to provide him a launching pad to reinvent himself. What does his lecture mean to the ordinary African? Absolutely nothing! What does his African trip bring to Africans? Absolutely nothing whatsoever!

LATE NELSON MANDELA DESERVES A MORE AFRICAN-MINDED SPEAKER FOR HIS CENTENARY LECTURE THAN BARACK H. OBAMA! LATE NELSON MANDELA DESERVES A MORE PASSIONATE PERSONALITY WHO EPITOMIZES THE IDEALS,  PASSIONS AND VISIONS OF MADIBA!

BARACK H. OBAMA MUST NEVER BE COMPARED TO MADIBA! THEY ARE NEVER AND SHALL NEVER BE IN THE SAME LEAGUE!

One wonders why he was invited to speak at the NELSON MANDELA  100 YEARS LECTURE. The only authentic speaker with massive impact  at the NELSON MANDELA 100 YEARS LECTURE was none other than PROF. PATRICK LUMUMBA!

GIVE US MORE OF PROF. PATRICK LUMUMBA AND HIS LIKES ANYDAY INSTEAD OF BARACK H. OBAMA,  TO SPEAK INTO THE MINDS AND CONSCIENCE OF AFRICANS OF THIS DAY AND BEYOND!

AFRICA IS TIRED OF  EMPTY INTELLECTUAL  NONSENSE AND RHETORICS!  What does these speeches garner for Africa and what does our handclap for vain words achieve for us in Africa? Africa does not need powerful  orators but powerful actors who influence and enhance the African dream by every opportunity and capacity  that these heavens has bestowed upon them!

I HAVE AN AFRICAN DREAM!  I BELIEVE IN THE AFRICAN DREAM!  AFRICA IS THE CRADLE OF HUMANITY! I AM BORN AN AFRICAN AND HERE IN AFRICA SHALL ALL MY DREAMS AND THE DREAMS OF ALL MY GENERATIONS BE REALISED NO MATTER THE ODDS!

I love my Africa passionately! I am tired of the poverty, misery and mindless killings in Africa! I am tired of the conflicts raging unabated in Africa while the world looks away!

I love my Africa passionately! I am tired of despots and Tyrants empowered by the imperialists ruining the destinies of a race and the future of a most blessed continent!

Africa! Oh my Africa!

Let us hear the cries of #Ambazonia and free the Ambazonians!

Let us hear the cries of  #Biafra and free the Biafrans!

Under Solemn Oath
